Gandhinagar, June 06, 2026: GREENS 2026, the three-day Global Recycling and Waste Management Expo and Summit, concluded on Saturday at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. Some 10,000+ visitors participated in the event, co-organised by SALT Alliances and the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

  1. GREENS 2026 is conceived as India’s first dedicated national platform focused on recycling, circular economy and waste-to-resource transformation. The event brought together 100+ industry leaders, 70+ speakers and exhibitors from across 14 different sectors of India’s recycling and circular economy ecosystem. The summit became a unique platform for collaboration, deliberation and discussions on pressing issues around circular economy and sustainability, such as solid waste management, plastic recycling, e-waste and battery recycling, wastewater treatment, construction and demolition waste, carbon markets, AI-led recycling solutions, waste-to-energy and sustainable manufacturing practices, among others. On the concluding day, a key session on Decoding Business Potential in Recycling: Where the Real Opportunities Are in 2026, featuring Mr Hiranmay Mahanta, CEO, iHub Gujarat; Mr Nagaraja Prakasam, Author, Angel Investor and Mentor; and Mr Neal Thakker, CEO, Magma, was organised. The event also featured dedicated sessions on sustainable startups, clean-tech innovation and emerging business opportunities in recycling and urban mining over the past two days. Industry experts, investors, startup founders and policymakers exchanged ideas and views on how India’s transition towards a circular economy is creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship, manufacturing and resource recovery.Shri Ketan Prajapati, Director, SALT Alliances, said, “The response to GREENS 2026 has reaffirmed that recycling and circular economy solutions are now central to India’s industrial and sustainability agenda. Over the last three days, we witnessed meaningful conversations between policymakers, industry leaders, startups, investors and recyclers on the future of resource efficiency and waste transformation. Our objective was to create a platform that encourages collaboration, innovation and actionable dialogue, and the response has been extremely encouraging.”GREENS 2026 was conceived as a zero-waste-to-landfill and carbon-neutral event, holding itself to the same standard it urged the industry to adopt. The expo floor featured a dedicated Waste-to-Art installation zone, with large-scale sculptures built entirely from recovered industrial waste, making visible what the summit consistently reinforced in its sessions: that waste is not a problem to be disposed of, but a resource to be designed with. The event was also an official Side Event of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026. The summit was supported by iNDEXTb as the industry partner, Deloitte India as the knowledge partner and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) as the knowledge support partner.
