Global Recycling Expo and Summit to highlight the transformations taking place in recycling and circular economy is being held from June 4 to 6
Gandhinagar, June 4, 2026: The Global Recycling Expo and Summit – GREENS 2026 was inaugurated virtually at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar on Thursday by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi.
GREENS 2026 is India’s leading national platform dedicated to the field of recycling, circular economy and creating valuable resources from waste. The event is jointly organized by SALT Alliances and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). The three-day expo, which is being held from June 4 to 6, 2026, is being supported by iNDEXTb as an Industry Partner, Deloitte India as a Knowledge Partner and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) as a Knowledge Support Partner.
Shri Shekharbhai Patel, National President, CREDAI and Managing Director & CEO, Ganesh Housing, was present as the Chief Guest.
GREENS 2026 is bringing together over 100 industry leaders, 70 speakers and exhibitors representing 14 different sectors over three days. The expo covers the entire spectrum of India’s recycling and circular economy ecosystem. The expo covers the entire scope of India’s recycling and circular economy ecosystem. The event is also an official side event of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026.
During his address, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Harsh Sanghvi said, “At least 150 million metric tonnes of waste is generated in India every year and as we move towards becoming a net zero economy, platforms like GREENS 2026 are crucial for experts and stakeholders to deliberate on important issues like recycling and waste management. These are not just environmental issues but are directly related to the development and progress of the country.’
GREENS 2026’s exhibition and plenary sessions have brought together policy makers, industry leaders and leaders from various sectors to discuss and deliberate on a range of important topics. These topics include solid waste management, plastic recycling, metal recycling, e-waste and battery recycling, rubber and ELT recycling, construction and demolition waste management, solar waste management, wastewater and ZLD, recycling,
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, carbon markets and credits, ELV, waste-to-energy and sustainable start-ups.
Each session will focus on the various critical challenges and evolving regulatory developments shaping India’s development journey.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Sandeep Engineer, President, GCCI and Chairman & Managing Director, Astral Limited, said, “India’s industrial development now needs to be aligned with sustainability, innovation and efficient use of resources. This is the only way forward. GREENS 2026 provides a much-needed opportunity for industry leaders and policymakers to come together and work towards realizing this vision of long-term sustainable change.”
GREENS 2026 is a zero-waste-to-landfill and carbon-neutral event, as it itself follows the standards it sets for the industry. The expo also features a dedicated installation zone for Waste-to-Art, showcasing large-scale sculptures made entirely from recovered industrial waste. These works visually illustrate an important point made during the summit: that waste is not a disposal problem but an asset that can be transformed into a valuable resource through proper planning and innovation.
