Indospine Hospital Launches MySpineMyWorld Campaign to Promote Spine Health Awareness

Ahmedabad, October 15, 2026: Indospine Hospital has launched its spine care awareness campaign, #MySpineMyWorld, along with a dedicated website, myspinemyworld.com, to promote awareness about spine health, prevent back and neck problems, and encourage timely medical consultation. The initiative was unveiled at a press conference held at the Ahmedabad Management Association, on the eve of World Spine Day.

In a distinctive initiative, the website was launched by patients treated at Indospine Hospital, who shared a first-hand understanding of the challenges associated with spinal disorders. The campaign was formally launched by Dr. Tarak Patel, Chief Spine Surgeon, and Dr. Rinku Patel, Anaesthesia and Pain Management Specialist at the hospital.

Dr. Tarak Patel highlighted the growing incidence of spine-related problems among younger people, including professionals, homemakers and students. According to the hospital’s records, more than four out of ten new patients are aged between 20 and 45 years, while 94% of patients are treated without hospitalisation. He emphasised that most spinal conditions do not require surgery and that timely diagnosis can help address the underlying cause of pain.

Dr. Rinku Patel stressed the importance of recognising pain as a warning signal rather than relying on prolonged painkiller use. She advised people to seek specialist consultation for symptoms such as weakness, difficulty getting up or pain that disrupts sleep.

The campaign will offer practical, doctor-tested guidance on posture, movement, daily habits, safe pain management and warning signs that require immediate medical attention.

The launch coincides with World Spine Day, observed annually on October 16. The World Federation of Chiropractic’s 2026 theme, “Spine Health for Life”, reinforces the importance of lifelong spinal health.

Citing a 2022 meta-analysis of 97 Indian studies published in WORK, the hospital noted that back pain remains a widespread health concern in India, affecting people across different age groups and particularly women, rural populations and workers.

Through #MySpineMyWorld, Indospine Hospital aims to encourage preventive care, informed decisions and timely treatment, helping people protect their spinal health and improve their quality of life.
