Marriage registration is now easier, faster and completely online! The process of marriage registration is now becoming easier and more transparent for the convenience of citizens by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
A new online marriage registration portal will be launched from August 01, 2026, through which citizens will be able to apply from home, upload documents, check the verification status and book appointments.
Citizens used to submit forms and documents in person at the Birth, Death and Marriage Registration Centre located at the Urban Health Centre of their respective ward. But from August 1, offline forms will not be accepted in any office of any of the 48 wards of the city.
As per the new system, applicants will have to fill the online marriage registration form by visiting the official website or portal of AMC. After filling the form, all the necessary documents like identity proof, marriage certificate, photographs and witnesses will have to be uploaded online in digital format. After that, a token will have to be obtained from the online system to proceed with the process.
