Madhavpur Mela concludes with a grand confluence of devotion, culture and traditional hospitality

The five-day ‘Madhavpur Ghed Mahotsav’ (March 27 to March 31, 2026), organised in commemoration of the sacred marriage of Lord Krishna and Mata Rukmini, concluded successfully today under the themes of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and “Vikasit Gujarat”. The festival, which is a cultural bridge between West and North-East India, showcased artistic sand art and the fusion of folk arts from various states, making Madhavpur a vibrant global tourism destination worldwide.

*The traditional hospitality of “Atithi Devo Bhava” has been fulfilled in the true sense for the artists who came to this festival. Very comfortable and clean rooms were arranged in reputed private hotels for the artists’ stay, so that they could get a home-like intimate experience. *Taking special care in the food arrangements, delicious and nutritious dishes were served on time as per the health and taste of the artists. *Well-organized transportation facilities were made available for the artists who came from far away, so that they could easily move to the rehearsal and program venue. Keeping in mind the increasing summer heat, specially prepared ‘Suvidha Hampers’ were awarded, * *which were extremely important for their convenience. The event management team coordinated and monitored the event 24 hours a day, resulting in the successful completion of all the events without any inconvenience.*
