National Cancer Survivors Day was celebrated in a unique way at GCS Hospital. More than 10,000 people receive free cancer treatment at GCS Hospital every year. National Cancer Survivor Day celebration was organized for those patients who have returned home happily after their cancer treatment. In which patients were honored with roses. After that lectures were given by doctors for public awareness, dietician gave information about food and drink, besides patients were called on stage and honored with special gifts. Also, a special garba was organized for the enjoyment of the patients.
Meals were also arranged for all the patients. The program ended by wishing all the patients.
Besides, GCS Hospital also has mammography bus facility. Through which GCS Hospital conducts public awareness campaign for Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer, and strives to create awareness for Breast and Cervical Cancer among women.
