The Ratha Yatra formally begins from the Jagannath Temple
Rath Yatra was celebrated in Ahmedabad. The Chief Minister worshiped in the chariot of Lord Jagannath. Harsh Sanghavi was present in the Pahindavidhi program. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took the blessings of God. The chariot and the path were cleaned with a golden broom. The Chief Minister along with the sailors pulled God’s chariot and departed. The chariot of sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra was also taken outside the temple.

Amit Shah greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Rath Yatra.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah performed Mangala Aarti after opening the doors of Jagannath Temple early in the morning. Today Lord Kalakkati was seen armed with Wagha. The devotees have become blessed by seeing the charming form of the Lord. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi and Jagdish Panchal were present on this occasion.
Today is the holy festival of Ratha Yatra. The Lord has prasad of khichdi. 5000 kg of khichdi prasad has been prepared. In which 2000 kg of rice, 1000 kg of dal, 6000 kg of ghee, 8000 kg of dry fruits were put. Also, since God has got eyes, the vegetable of pumpkin with khichdi is prepared. 2000 kg of pumpkin gwar vegetable was prepared. One lakh devotees will take Prasad of Khichdi.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Meghraja may give light rain showers during the Rath Yatra. However, there is no chance of heavy rain. There is a possibility of light rain in Gujarat for the next 5 days. At present, due to moisture in the atmosphere, there may be rain in South Gujarat and North Gujarat, the temperature may increase by one to two degrees. However, due to the western wind blowing, the heat experience may decrease.
On the eve of the Rath Yatra, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly performed aarti at the Jagannath temple. Shri Shankarbhai Choudhary, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, received the blessings of Lord Jagannathji by performing Aarti. Mahant Dilipadasji Maharaj of Jagannathji Temple performed Poojan and Aarti. A large number of prospective devotees joined the aarti of the Jagannath temple.
