Engineering students created an amazing device that captures the elements that spread pollution in the air.

Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Do mills, chemical factories or companies in your area pollute the airs Spreading?

Are companies releasing toxic gases into the air through chimneys at night? So the students of engineering have created an amazing device that captures the elements that spread pollution in the air. This device can be useful to Gujarat Pollution Control Board or Municipal Corporation officials. Also, the public means you can scan the QR code on the device and find out who is spreading the air pollution in your area. We are currently seeing the effects of global warming in the entire country and the world. Gas emitted by industries, increasing prevalence of vehicular traffic, petrol diesel fumes, all these are continuously increasing the pollution. Due to which the effects of global warming are happening on the earth. Then Kaushal Prajapati, Het Patel, Chandan Yadav and Darshil Shah, students of the IC Department of Government Polytechnic, under the guidance of their mentor Sriji Gandhi, have prepared a device that will capture the elements that spread air pollution in seconds.

These final year engineering students have created an IoT base i.e. Internet of Things base device. The carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, dust, LPG, smoke, temperature, humidity will be monitored by sensors and real time data can be viewed on the Android app. Regarding this, Kaushal Prajapati, a student, says that this is an IoT based device that monitors air pollution. That is, any data sensed will be visible in the phone. The parameters which have been added will be seen in real time in the phone. Mentor of students Prof. Shriji Gandhi says that pollution is increasing day by day. The problem of global warming and diseases like cancer and asthma are increasing. Then the IoT base will monitor the parameters like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, dust, LPG, smoke, temperature, humidity and give real time data of this device. And the location can also be known.

If three or four devices are installed in an industrial zone, real-time data of how much pollution has occurred in which area will be available. For example, if a company in a GIDC area emits pollution in phase one during the night but the smoke that passes through the air goes to phase 2, it is not known whether the pollution has occurred in phase one or phase two. But if this device is installed, it can be realized in which phase the pollution has occurred through real time data. This device has been made by doing preliminary testing, still further modification and hybrid technology can be used to make it more efficient. Not only this, anyone can know how much pollution is spreading in their area by scanning the QR code through this device.
