It has been decided to provide free Amul milk to the patients in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run hospitals. Amul milk will now be provided free of cost to patients in AMC-run hospitals. This major decision has been taken due to complaints in the milk brought from local traders.
A decision has been taken to provide free milk in Shardaben, Nagri and LG hospitals in AMC affiliated hospitals. It may be mentioned that currently 96 liters of milk is given in Shardaben Hospital, 8 liters in Nagari Hospital and 90 liters in LG Hospital. 72 thousand liters of milk was used till now. 1.10 crore per annum for AMC to provide free Amul milk to patients. Health of patients is kept in mind.
